One of the UK’s first US-style indoor malls, this local shopping centre opened its doors way back in 1967. Still going strong more than 50 years later, Crossgates’ high street names, cafes and supermarket anchors draw in roughly 6 million people a year. In the local area there have also been numerous dining and leisure destinations open up shop around a centre within which many retailers have high performing spaces in relation to their portfolio.
This small shop to let, near perennial favourites Peacocks and Poundland in the middle of the centre, is a great way for you to introduce your brand to them.
Close to Leeds city centre, Crossgates is a thriving commuter town, so you’ll see more shoppers here at weekends than during the week. That said, as the area’s main shopping hub, you’ll still see locals heading here for groceries, a browse around and a bite to eat during the week, especially around lunchtimes. Crossgates station is only a two-minute stroll, and the centre’s car park has 375 spaces.
You’ll have fashion store Peacocks and convenience store and newsagent Supernews as your direct neighbours, and you’ll be opposite Poundland in the heart of the centre.
Crossgates Shopping Centre has 170,000 sqft of retail accommodation and is home to over 50 national and independent brands including Costa, Wilko, New Look, Holland & Barrett, Card Factory and Carphone Warehouse.
Average footfall is 120,000 people per week.
This is a local shopping centre anchored by key retailers so it is more of a local destination rather than a tourist hub
