One of the UK’s first US-style indoor malls, this local shopping centre opened its doors way back in 1967. Still going strong more than 50 years later, Crossgates’ high street names, cafes and supermarket anchors draw in roughly 6 million people a year – introduce your brand to them by bringing it to this white-boxed shop to let next to a key car park entrance. In the local area there have also been numerous dining and leisure destinations open up shop around a centre within which many retailers have high performing spaces in relation to their portfolio.
As Crossgates’ main shopping hub, the centre attracts a loyal local crowd - with numbers reaching their peak at lunchtimes and weekends. You’ll see older shoppers here during the week, with a few more local families coming here for groceries and a browse around on Saturdays and Sundays. Crossgates station is a couple of minutes’ walk, and the centre’s car park has 375 spaces.
You’ll be in between women’s fashion store Bonmarché and a car park entrance/exit. There’s a Card Factory and Heron Foods store opposite, plus you’ll be near a busy branch of Greggs with a seating area outside.
Crossgates Shopping Centre has 170,000 sqft of retail accommodation and is home to over 50 national and independent brands including Costa, Wilko, New Look, Peacocks, Holland & Barrett and Carphone Warehouse.
Average footfall is 120,000 people per week.
This is a local shopping centre anchored by key retailers so it is more of a local destination rather than a tourist hub
