The London-based designer will be using his store to turn production waste and excess material to create newly desirable items. Products will range from remade patchwork pieces from previous seasons, rarely available archive garments, reworked vintage graphic tees and limited-edition homeware. His aim is to provoke conversation on the way we consume, the season-led nature of the fashion industry and how we can move toward sustainable practices.

Located on Greek Street in Soho, ‘Physical Reality’ will create an immersive, visual journey for visitors, through sight, sound and touch, using a multitude of media including painting, sculpture, image and photography. As an extension of this experience, the team will host events on the key processes used by the brand, including dying and screen-printing, allowing visitors to interact and experience something new.

Speaking about the competition, Liam said:

"Space for Ideas has granted us an opportunity to create our first real retail experience. It’s allowing existing and new customers a chance to experience the brand in all forms, from the current collection and archive garments to an exploration into homeware, archive and remade garments."

"The space will be fully immersive with site-specific installation, events and limited release products. Appear Here have allowed us to launch this exciting new milestone for the brand in one of the most iconic areas of London. Bringing the brand out of the digital world and firmly planting us in a 'Physical Reality'"

Liam started out at London’s Royal College of Art in 2013 and debuted a collection for Fashion East before gaining catwalk sponsorship at the prestigious Topman backed MAN show for three seasons. His work has since been featured in Dazed, i-D, GQ, Vogue and Hypebeast, while his designs have been spotted on the likes of Drake, P.Diddy, FKA Twigs, Danny Brown and Big Sean.

His brand was chosen as the Space for Ideas “Team Choice”, which gives the best new ideas in retail the chance to scale and grow by providing a free store in a prime retail location, as well as mentoring from industry experts.

‘Physical Reality’ will be open daily to the public between April 11-21, with special events happening throughout – full details coming soon online.
