With a zip code this famous, Beverly Hills is almost a celebrity in its own right. For most people, 90210 means power-lunching movie execs, glamorous hotels and high-end designer shops. And while all those associations are true, you don’t need a movie star budget to enjoy the palm trees and manicured streets here. Although you’ll rub shoulders with the perfectly-coiffed locals - and their designer dogs, and probably spot a few famous faces, Beverly Hills also pulls in plenty of window-shopping tourists and students from nearby UCLA.
The shopping mecca that is ‘The Golden Triangle’ includes Rodeo Drive's $200-million faux cobbled walkway, as well as Anderson Court - the only shopping mall designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. But Beverly Hills is more than just retail therapy. There are rooftop bars, botanical gardens and some of the city’s best restaurants and cafés here, ranging from the iconic Millennial pink Beverly Hills hotel to the Sprinkle’s cupcake ATM.
